Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on player behavior and psychology to better understand player preferences and motivations.
  • Collaborate with game development teams to provide insights and recommendations for improving the player experience.
  • Design and implement research studies to gather data and insights on player behavior and preferences.
  • Analyze and interpret research data to identify patterns and trends that can inform game design decisions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in player experience research to continuously improve our methods and processes.
  • Communicate research findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with data analysts and other researchers to integrate quantitative and qualitative data for a comprehensive understanding of player behavior.
  • Use a variety of research methods, such as surveys, interviews, and focus groups, to gather data and insights.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to effectively communicate research findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify potential issues or challenges in the player experience and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with user experience designers and game developers to ensure player-centric design and development processes.
  • Act as a champion for the player, advocating for their needs and wants in all aspects of game development.
  • Continuously gather and analyze feedback from players to inform future research studies and recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of research protocols and best practices to ensure high-quality and ethical research practices.
  • Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture within the research department.
