Cyber Security Analyst - Weekend Sat & Sun only at GDIT Colorado Springs, CO

Position Overview

Cyber Security Analyst at GDIT offers a unique opportunity to build robust cyber defenses using cutting-edge technologies. This part‑time role, working on weekends (Saturday & Sunday only), is critical in securing our clients’ missions and anticipating tomorrow’s cyber threats. At GDIT, people are our differentiator, and you will play a key role in monitoring and protecting classified and unclassified systems for a major Intelligence Community Agency.

Compensation: The likely hourly rate is between $61.30 and $82.94. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and handle forensic evidence in accordance with Rules of Evidence and perform forensic analysis of digital information.
• Monitor, detect, and report indicators of misuse, abuse, data spillage, insider threats, and security violations.
• Identify acceptable use policy infractions and review event logs to determine events of interest.
• Monitor for fraud, waste, and abuse including inappropriate content, illegal activity, productivity loss, and non-compliant activity, as well as Identity Leakage (PII).
• Prepare case evidence and incident reports and work on special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience).
• DoD Approved Baseline 8570 IAT Level III (CASP, CISSP, CISA, etc.) certification required prior to start date.
• DoD Approved Baseline 8570 CSSP Auditor (CEH, CySA, CISA, etc.) certification required prior to start date.
• Security Clearance: Must possess TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Splunk, Proofpoint, Fidelis, Solera, Windows, and Linux Operating Systems.
