Position Overview

Performance Home Medical has been a leader in providing quality products and services since 1995. At Performance Home Medical, our patients come first. We are seeking a motivated, high energy individual to join our Customer Service Team in our Call Center. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service for patients, referral sources, and insurance companies via phone and internet. While prior experience in healthcare customer service or a background in medical equipment is a plus, we will train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from Sleep, Providers, and Scheduling queues in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products offered by Performance Home Medical.
  • Proactively offer and educate callers on resupply and private pay items.
  • Generate and process new supply orders according to procedure to ensure timely and accurate resupply for patients.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide exceptional support to patients.
  • Meet key performance metrics including call volume, average handling time, and overall productivity.
  • Operate phone systems professionally and complete any necessary documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Technologically proficient with strong computer skills and the ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
  • Skilled in de-escalation and troubleshooting patient issues with equipment both in person and over the phone.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience or educational background in healthcare customer service.
  • Background or hands-on experience with medical equipment, specifically PAP equipment.
