Job Description
Position Overview
This role supports technical operations in the Department of Film & Television at Tisch School of the Arts by providing technical support, training, and maintenance services for a wide variety of production and post production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the assigned area of operation.
- Operate a wide variety of production and post production equipment, including specialized equipment requiring significant training.
- Instruct students and faculty on operating equipment, conducting both individual and group training workshops.
- Advise students and faculty on equipment that best meets their technical needs.
- Perform skilled maintenance and extensive repairs on complex equipment and parts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma and some relevant technical training or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of related experience, including customer support in a production-related environment.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate a wide variety of production equipment; skilled at troubleshooting and performing moderately complex repairs; ability to train others in equipment use.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certification.
- Experience in a film post production facility.
- Knowledge of post production equipment including Avid and ProTools.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: USD $36.906 per hour. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts and represents base pay only, excluding additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or clinical compensation.
