Sr. Electrical Engineer (Power Distribution; Relo Kansas City, MO)

Position Overview

Our client, a leading utilities company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution to serve as a lead project manager for capital and system improvement initiatives within the power and energy sector in Jackson County, MO. In this role, you will guide project planning, design, and development while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Location: Greater Kansas City Area, MO. Job Type: Full-Time. Travel: Local around the community – company vehicle provided while onsite. Compensation: up to $140,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a project leader in the design and engineering of complex projects
• Provide functional supervision of technical staff and mentor junior engineers
• Monitor progress of assigned projects to ensure timely completion
• Perform extensive research and field investigations
• Evaluate and recommend project alternatives and review system protection
• Develop project drawings, evaluate project costs, and customer requirements
• Participate in the evaluation of engineering activities
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• Serve as a subject matter expert and offer recommendations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
• Power distribution design experience required
• Must have passed the FE exam to be considered for this role
