Position Overview
Join Jacobs as a Civil Engineer in our Advanced Manufacturing group. In this role, you will work on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facility projects, performing tasks such as site development, grading plans, earthwork balancing, and stormwater analysis. This opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States, and while candidates near a Jacobs U.S. office are preferred, we are committed to hiring the best talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Site development, site master planning, and site selection
- Underground utility routing and site space planning
- Hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
- Analyzing and designing gravitational wastewater systems
- Performing final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing
- Providing erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and supporting permit approval
- Researching and adhering to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements
- Conducting stormwater analysis and modeling using applications such as StormCAD and CivilStorm
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- At least 8 years of engineering experience with extensive project exposure
- Strong working knowledge in analyzing and designing medium to large scale industrial developments
- Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
- Quick learner driven to broaden knowledge base
Preferred Qualifications
- PE certification
- Bluebeam experience
- Experience using Navisworks
