Job Description

Position Overview

Location: Houston, TX 77041. This Outside Sales and Business Development position is responsible for pursuing, developing, and maintaining sales relationships with new and existing clients. The role focuses on achieving sales goals as defined by the sales department and includes representing the company at networking events, trade shows, and customer sites to promote products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quoting, invoicing, and purchase agreements to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Manage client relationships and upsell additional inventory and services.
  • Maintain a current pipeline in Salesforce for all sales opportunities.
  • Proactively cold-call prospective customers and assist with selling aged inventory.
  • Aggressively pursue and close sales opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Achieve monthly revenue and gross profit targets as set by the executive team.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Facilitate and set up trades with vendors and clients on equipment.
  • Travel: Domestic and international travel to develop business and build lasting relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Engage in purchasing engines and generator sets from vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and value.
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to prospect new business opportunities and promote products.
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, inventory supply, and pricing strategies.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports detailing sales volume, potential sales, and expansion areas.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide input on product and service enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring best practices during product demonstrations or on-site visits.
  • Wear proper PPE when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Possess a valid Texas driver's license.
  • Travel Requirement: This position requires 50% domestic and international travel; candidates must have the necessary documentation to travel internationally.
  • Five to seven years of related experience and/or training, preferably with a technical background.
  • Experience in commission-based, person-to-person sales.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and familiarity with Salesforce.com.
