Position Overview
This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. The Manager, Clinical Operations Medical Director is responsible for providing day-to-day guidance, support, and leadership for clinical and quality activities, and for supporting the Medical Director in ensuring the clinical integrity of broad and significant clinical programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides support to clinicians in daily tasks and participates in peer-to-peer discussions and office visits with providers and external physicians as necessary.
- May participate in a physician on-call rotation for a 24x7 pre-certification unit.
- Assists in practitioner appeal reviews, appropriateness criteria reviews, medical policy and technology assessments, setting and implementing QI initiatives, and practitioner/provider credentialing.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Required Qualifications
- Requires MD or DO.
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience with expertise in medical management.
- Board certification is required where applicable to the duties being performed.
- For associates working within Puerto Rico in patient-facing or clinical settings, a current PR health certificate and current PR Law 300 certificate are required.

- Compensation: For candidates working in person or virtually in District of Columbia, Illinois, or Nevada, the salary range is $232,596 to $382,122. Actual compensation will vary based on geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
