Job Description

Position Overview

Baylor Scott & White Health – Endocrinology in Fort Worth, Texas (1250 8th Ave., Suite 650) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant 2. Working Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm, you will assist in patient examinations and treatments under the guidance of a physician. In this role, you contribute to our mission as part of the largest not‐for‐profit healthcare system in Texas, promoting the well‐being of individuals, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist during patient examinations and treatments under the guidance of a physician.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness before and after procedures.
  • Escort patients from the waiting area and prepare them for examination.
  • Conduct patient interviews to record medical histories and document vital health information.
  • Measure and record patient vital signs, and assist with routine tests including electrocardiograms and specimen collections.
  • Administer medications as instructed and perform tasks such as changing dressings, removing sutures, and staples.
  • Handle administrative duties including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and participating in team huddles and meetings.
  • Support mentoring and training of staff members.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
  • Obtain a Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 30 days of joining.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized certifying body such as Nat Cert Med Asst (NCMA), Cert Med Asst (CMA), Cert Cln Med Asst (CCMA), Reg Med Asst (RMA), or equivalent.
