Position Overview

Joyce, Inc. is a provider of fractional digital teams that empower organizations to meet their technical and marketing goals. As a Web Developer/Designer, you will work both independently and within teams to build, test, and optimize websites for internal stakeholders and clients. This role is primarily technical with opportunities to utilize design and UI/UX skills, making it a perfect fit for individuals eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain websites for both internal teams and clients.
  • Assist in the creative process including site design, wireframing, layout, and user experience to meet client goals.
  • Analyze feedback and iterate quickly to improve deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot, modify, and enhance existing websites while ensuring compliance with industry standards and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, accessibility, and SEO, and ensure regular maintenance through updates, audits, and QA.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Skills:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in web development and/or design.
    • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Experience with WordPress and various content management systems, as well as custom coding when necessary.
    • Ability to develop aesthetic, functional, and user-friendly deliverables.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to translate requests into clear tasks and solutions.
    • Deadline-oriented, organized, creative, and adaptable.
    • Comfortable working directly with clients and internal teams.
  • A portfolio or examples of your work are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe software products or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with domains, DNS, and email administration.
  • Experience using Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Git, or other source control tools.
