Job Description
Position Overview
This role is responsible for the sale of instruments, services, reagents and other consumables across a defined territory. You will leverage in‐depth market and technical knowledge to drive sales, develop customer relationships, and contribute to the growth of Miltenyi Biotec’s business.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and/or exceed company sales forecasts in the designated territory.
- Work with sales management to develop and execute a territory growth plan.
- Identify potential sales leads and develop plans for converting leads into sales.
- Travel throughout the territory to visit regular and prospective customers, perform product demonstrations, attend trade shows, and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop strong customer relationships to enhance current and future business opportunities with Miltenyi Biotec Inc.
- Research, troubleshoot, and promptly resolve customer questions, problems, or complaints.
- Utilize the company’s CRM to document customer interactions, appointments, and opportunities.
- Complete timely and accurate reports of business transactions and expenses.
- Participate in strategic market analysis with colleagues and management to define potential opportunities.
- Provide competitive and market trend information to assist in new product and marketing program identification.
- Collaborate in shared accounts to contribute to overall company sales growth.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and proprietary technologies.
- Travel up to 50-75% as required.
- Undertake additional projects and assignments as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D., M.S. or B.S. degree from a four-year college or university with 2-4 years of sales and/or research experience in the life sciences environment.
- Familiarity with a variety of sales concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license, evidence of insurance/insurability, and ability to obtain clearance for accessing restricted government accounts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Immunology and/or Molecular Biology is preferred, with a Ph.D. being highly desirable.

- Compensation: $91,011 - $107,072/year, plus performance-based incentives.
