Job Description
Position Overview
The Brand Marketing Strategy Manager will provide leadership in the development of an integrated marketing and advertising program—including traditional advertising, digital advertising, public relations, and brand and creative integration—to drive brand awareness, sales, and margin dollar growth. This role is based onsite 5 days/week in Tulsa, OK. The candidate is expected to have 6 or more years of experience in developing customer engagement and digital marketing strategies (including social, mobile apps, and web), with a preference for multi-unit retail or food industry backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively direct employees and provide overall leadership.
- Lead the development and annual refreshment of an overarching brand strategy framework and roadmap by collaborating with the Director of Marketing, Digital Experience Manager, Public Relations, Customer Engagement team, Data Science, and external agency/vendor partners.
- Direct consumer insights research activities, recommend consumer insight solutions, work with Data Science to develop testing protocols, and implement a competitive intelligence process.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing, VP of Sales, and Category Sales Managers to develop strategic marketing plans that support promotional calendars, product development cycles, and the brand voice.
- Oversee and manage external agency/vendor partnerships, ensuring integrated marketing, creative, and media plans align with strategic brand objectives while monitoring agency performance.
- Oversee and manage the internal creative team by providing brand guidance and creative integration, including approvals on creative executions and coordination with Art and Design teams.
- Recommend targeted marketing action plans to improve results in underperforming markets and categories, fostering a test-and-learn environment for marketing initiatives.
- Stay current on competitor marketing activities and utilize findings to develop competitive solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10 or more years of experience in progressively responsible and supervisory positions in corporate marketing and/or ad agency account management.
- 6 or more years of experience in the development of customer engagement and digital marketing strategies, including social, mobile apps, and web.
- Proven experience in multi-unit retail organizations with a strong preference for food industry experience.
- Experience in overseeing and coordinating multiple media agencies and partners.
- Strong understanding of and experience with consumer insights and market research.
- Demonstrated success in building brands and driving sales through integrated marketing solutions and campaigns.
