  • Develop subject matter expertise across SFG lending themes—including concentrated/illiquid stock, aircraft financing, and unsecured lending—to ensure thorough analysis of sponsor and collateral considerations.
  • Lead loan structuring and negotiate legal documentation of loan transactions with external counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage a loan portfolio to ensure performance, accurate financial reporting, covenant compliance, and timely escalation of issues.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with internal business partners, including Custom Credit Bankers and Relationship Managers, as well as with clients and their family office personnel.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and contribute to large-scale planning efforts within the Wealth Underwriting team.
  • Review and analyze multifaceted high-net-worth loan structures and provide clear recommendations for resolution.
  • Make informed decisions on complex credit risk management issues in alignment with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate strategically with peers and senior managers, serving as a mentor within the team.
  • Partner with Custom Credit Bankers and Financial Advisors to provide guidance on due diligence, credit assessments, and loan document negotiations.

  • Ability to make sound, independent business and credit decisions.
  • A background in wealth or commercial lending/underwriting with familiarity of esoteric collateral asset classes including illiquid/concentrated stock, aircraft, unsecured loans, life insurance, alternative assets, or art is preferred.
