Position Overview

As a Claims Specialist (Auto PD) on our dynamic Auto Claims Team, you'll interpret, investigate, and evaluate auto policies and coverage issues. You will manage auto liability property damage and comparative negligence losses – handling both comprehensive/collision and auto liability property damage claims – while taking full ownership from start to finish. Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret, investigate, and evaluate auto policies and coverage issues.
  • Manage auto liability property damage and comparative negligence losses for both comprehensive/collision and auto liability claims.
  • Take ownership of assigned claims from start to finish, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build strong partnerships with customers and brokers to deliver exceptional service.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance, OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of experience, OR completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 2+ years of experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s).
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products.
  • Prior experience in auto claims handling, insurance claims, or a related customer service field, with an understanding of auto insurance policies, coverage, and state regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience handling auto property damage and comprehensive/collision claims.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry terminology.
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
