This role is designed for an individual who can execute receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing and an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a clean and organized store. Based at USA TJ Maxx Store 1346 in New Braunfels, TX (Address: 239 Creekside Crossing), you’ll be integral in driving daily operations and team performance. Competitive salary is offered with a starting pay range of $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, determined by your skills, qualifications, and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
- Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality
- Orchestrates truck deliveries, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
- Trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles
- Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
- Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to maintain an efficient flow of goods
- Ensures Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and prioritizes activities as needed
- Monitors team productivity and provides coaching when necessary
- Organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment
- Maintains merchandising philosophy and signage standards
- Upholds cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area
- Ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
- Communicates effectively with management and Associates to set and address priorities
- Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
- Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
- Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
- Promotes credit and loyalty programs
- Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
- Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
- Undertakes other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Superior communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes or unexpected situations
- Team player with the ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors
- Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
- Skilled in training others
- Minimum of 1 year of retail and 6 months of leadership experience
