Position Overview
Join Amazon’s dynamic environment as a Senior Supply Chain Manager with a planning background. In this role you will take end-to-end ownership of operations by leading strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing and managing the flow of goods, information, and services within the supply chain network. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, focusing on network capacity, logistics optimization, and sales & operations planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives related to network capacity across Amazon’s business units.
- Optimize and manage the flow of goods, information, or services within the supply chain network.
- Balance supply and demand while assessing and improving the efficiency of distribution networks, warehouses, and logistics operations.
- Analyze and synthesize data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency.
- Define metrics, develop program management mechanisms, and simplify processes for decision-making in complex network capacity scenarios.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to influence and facilitate agreements that achieve network capacity goals.
- Manage cross-functional network capacity initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and lean operational practices.
- Oversee a portfolio of programs related to network capacity, driving performance improvement and efficiency.
- Identify and implement operational improvements in inventory management, logistics strategy, and transportation optimization.
- Monitor and optimize key network capacity metrics to ensure smooth operations throughout the supply chain network.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Experience in defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- 5+ years of experience driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- 5+ years of driving process improvements
- Experience in building processes, project management, and scheduling
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management across multiple organizational levels
