Position Overview
Lokar Performance Products is seeking a confident and capable, upper‐mid to senior level Manufacturing / Process Engineer who is passionate about producing high‐quality components and assemblies and loves to innovate their manufacturing processes. In this role, you will not only sustain and manage the quality and manufacturing aspects of existing products but also develop and manage the processes that bring exciting new offerings to the aftermarket automotive industry. Emphasizing autonomy and collaboration, you’ll work closely with everyone from the CEO to product engineering, tech support, manufacturing, sales, and sourcing – all without the burden of endless meetings. The ideal candidate is a likeable, self‐sufficient individual with strong SolidWorks skills, a wealth of DIY technical experience both personally and professionally, and a devotion to quality and detail.

Key Responsibilities
- Join the team – communicate effectively and benefit from the collective knowledge of your coworkers.
- Become the go-to engineer for all matters related to quality and manufacturing.
- Improve, create, and fully document the processes used (or to be used) in manufacturing superior Lokar products.
- Perform quality inspections for both incoming and outgoing components and assemblies as needed.
- Assist the Product Development Team with concept generation and process planning.
- Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing to complete prototype builds and develop the processes, tooling, and documentation necessary for efficient production.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, or related).
- Product and process design experience with machined parts, injection molded components, castings, basic electrical circuits, and moderately complex mechanisms.
- Extensive hands-on experience – both personal and professional – with using tools to build, repair, modify, or disassemble components.
- Logical and efficient CAD modeling skills (SolidWorks preferred); familiarity with using planes, centerlines, relations, and embedded equations.
- Experience with drafting best practices, including familiarity with Y14 practices and GD&T is a plus.
- Ability to translate design intent into efficient processes and tooling while creating detailed documentation and drawing packages.
- Capability to safely use basic hand tools; mill, lathe, or welding experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
