Job Description

Position Overview

Papi Steak Las Vegas, a premier Groot Hospitality venue, is seeking a Pastry Prep Cook to join our dynamic pastry team. In this role, you will support the Executive Pastry Chef by preparing ingredients, executing basic recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized pastry station. Candidates must be detail-oriented, efficient, and passionate about pastry arts. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and sanitize the pastry workstation before and after shifts
  • Follow prep lists and recipes provided by the Executive Pastry Chef
  • Scale and measure ingredients accurately for pastry production
  • Prepare pastry components including doughs, batters, fillings, glazes, and creams
  • Assist in assembling and plating desserts according to restaurant standards
  • Ensure all pastry ingredients and items are properly labeled, stored, and rotated
  • Support the pastry team with finishing work on cakes, tarts, and plated desserts
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry tools, equipment, and storage areas
  • Assist with receiving pastry-related deliveries and checking quality of ingredients
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or pastry prep experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays
