Position Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer on our national Power Generation team, you will lead mechanical design and project management for natural gas and renewable energy projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver impactful solutions within the power market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical engineering team and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver power generation projects.
- Develop construction drawings, bid specifications, equipment sizing calculations, and cost estimates.
- Provide technical and contractual support as Engineer of Record or Owner’s Engineer.
- Ensure projects meet industry standards, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive project success and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of experience
- Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license
- Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit)
- A strong commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture
Preferred Qualifications
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design
- Experience with gas turbines, steam turbines and/or large reciprocating engines
- Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation
- Experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm
- Proven ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Willingness to mentor less experienced engineers and EITs
- Proven track record of working within established schedules and budgets
- Position includes an expectation of less than 10% travel for client and vendor meetings as well as project site visits

- Compensation: Based on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. Targeted salary range: $108,661 - $204,250
