Project Manager - Healthcare

Position Overview

The Healthcare Project Manager administers, directs, and coordinates the functions of field supervisory personnel and subcontractors in the operations division. This role is the primary interface between Ajax and the Architect, Engineer, and Owner, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Projects include locations in Tampa, Orlando, Gainesville FL, Jacksonville FL, and Tallahassee FL. Ability to travel to project sites is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, terminate, and/or change the duties of assigned personnel per company policies.
• Develop and implement operating procedures for overall project operations.
• Approve material purchases, equipment rentals, tools, supplies, and contract agreements for jobsite requirements.
• Represent the company in negotiations with owners and maintain good relations with Project Managers and Owners.
• Oversee project budget preparation, schedule development, and conduct audits from contract signing through the warranty period.
• Actively participate in the company’s Quality Improvement Plan.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 or more years of construction management experience.
• Active/Occupied hospital project experience.
• AHCA experience.
• Advanced interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a strong understanding of industry practices and trends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management with field experience.
• General Contractors License.
• 5 or more years of construction management experience.
