Position Overview

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented nurse seeking an opportunity to deliver specialized care while exploring new places? We are looking for a skilled Travel Registered Nurse - Wound Care to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert wound management services to patients across various healthcare settings while supporting clinical teams with your advanced knowledge of wound healing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wound Assessment and Treatment: Perform comprehensive assessments of acute, chronic, surgical, pressure, and diabetic wounds, and develop customized treatment plans.
  • Dressing and Treatment Application: Apply wound dressings, negative pressure wound therapy, debridement techniques, and other evidence-based interventions.
  • Patient and Staff Education: Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on wound prevention, care techniques, and infection control measures.
  • Monitoring and Documentation: Track wound progression, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and document findings accurately.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, dietitians, and multidisciplinary teams to support effective wound recovery.
  • Prevention Strategies: Assist in implementing wound prevention protocols, including pressure injury risk assessments and skin integrity programs.
  • Travel Flexibility: Adapt to new environments quickly and maintain high standards of wound care across different healthcare facilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of wound care nursing experience
  • Strong understanding of wound healing, infection management, and advanced wound therapies
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and time management skills
  • Ability to travel and work in varying clinical environments
  • Proven clinical decision-making, education, and collaboration skills
  • Strong documentation and communication capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • WOCN or WCC certification
