Junior Software Developer
Job Description
Position Overview
This position is responsible for assisting in developing, coding, testing, debugging and customizing software solutions to business problems. This role spans Full-Stack Software development for browsers, desktops, tablets, and phones, including database design, administration and use; webserver development and administration; as well as project planning and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design of software solutions to meet current and future requirements.
- Support multiple platforms, including both online and offline applications.
- Apply software development best practices to code, test, and implement applications.
- Follow project specifications and timelines.
- Create and maintain accurate software documentation.
- Ensure successful application deployment and provide ongoing post-implementation support.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; alternatively, 3 years of specifically relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum 0 to 2 years of programming experience (this may include coding boot camps, projects, or relevant work experience).
- Experience with Web Application stacks such as JavaScript, Node, HTML, CSS, and responsive frameworks (VueJSin particular).
- General database experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Desktop Application stacks such as C#, .NET Framework, or Python.
- Experience with SQL or non‐SQL databases (such as MSQL or Mongo) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows server platforms, such as IIS.
