Position Overview

This is a full time position (Monday – Friday, days) with no nights, on call, weekends, or holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work at the reception desk, answer phones, greet, and communicate with patients and providers.
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Check in patients and document registration accurately.
  • Verify insurance and patient demographics.
  • File and retrieve medical records and files.
  • Perform copying and faxing duties.
  • Collect co-pays and cash from patients and obtain credit card authorizations.
  • Enter charges, payments, and balance the day's transactions in the computer system.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Mission and Value Statement, and all Physician Services policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the continuity of patient care with external healthcare organizations and facilitate referrals to specialty care.
  • Participate in team efforts for data collection, health outcomes reporting, audits, and programmatic evaluations related to the Patient Centered Medical Home.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Less than one year of experience is required; one to three years of experience is preferred.
