Your Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of diverse civil engineering projects, including transportation, water resources, land development, and site infrastructure.
- Manage project teams, including directing and reviewing the work of junior engineers and technical staff.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Perform complex engineering calculations and analyses, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and reports for submission to clients and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, government officials, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and prepare preliminary engineering reports.
- Oversee construction administration and provide on-site engineering support as required.
- Ensure quality control and assurance processes are implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and develop the skills of junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Stay current with advancements in civil engineering technology, software, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree: in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license: in Indiana is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management and design.
- Proven experience: in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency: in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and other design/analysis tools.
- Strong understanding: of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to civil engineering projects.
- Excellent leadership: communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability: to make sound engineering judgments and decisions.
- Experience: in preparing proposals and participating in business development activities is a plus.
