Senior Automation Controls Engineer / PLC SME

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation Controls Engineer / PLC SME with strong expertise in Allen-Bradley PLC systems and industrial automation equipment. The ideal candidate will support troubleshooting, optimization, and improvement of automation systems within manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve Allen-Bradley PLC programming and controls issues
• Serve as a technical SME for automation and control systems
• Analyze and improve automation equipment performance and reliability
• Review equipment designs and recommend enhancements based on manufacturing needs
• Support commissioning, debugging, testing, and continuous improvement activities
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and client teams
• Ensure systems meet safety, quality, and operational standards

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on Allen-Bradley PLC programming/troubleshooting experience
• Deep knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing equipment
• Experience with HMI, SCADA, drives, sensors, and industrial communication protocols preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and clients

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environments
• Background in equipment redesign and process optimization
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering, or related field preferred
