RN Acute Care 32H - MYR, 8 Hrs, 4 Mixed Shift

Position Overview

At UMass Memorial Health—Central Massachusetts’ premier health system—our Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will utilize the Nursing Process from admission to discharge, ensuring quality care and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of client care from Admission to Discharge.
• Perform client assessments/reassessments and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care while delegating tasks appropriately.
• Document client care and provide education to clients and their families/significant others.
• Adhere to departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives, and all health and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid and current RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Satisfactory CORI background check and, if applicable, DCF/CPS background check.
• BLS Certification.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing and a commitment to providing safe, effective patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of nursing experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) oral and written communication skills.
