Associate Cybersecurity Consultant

Position Overview

At SecureLayer7, we tackle challenging cybersecurity issues by bringing together bright minds to secure organizations from cyber-attacks. As an Associate Cybersecurity Consultant, you will conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on networks, web applications, and mobile applications. Working closely with a team of cybersecurity experts, you will help ensure high security standards while embracing a respectful, fun, and collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Web VAPT, iOS and Android security testing, and Network VAPT assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential security weaknesses.
• Collaborate with clients' IT and security teams to understand their infrastructure and application landscape.
• Conduct detailed analysis of security test results and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, recommendations, and risk assessments for stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts and findings clearly and concisely with clients.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of cybersecurity best practices and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification is mandatory.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Web VAPT, Network VAPT, and iOS/Android security testing.
• Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard cybersecurity tools and frameworks (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap).
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, C, C++).
• Familiarity with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell script, JavaScript) and the ability to develop automated tools & scripts during penetration testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic team environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
