Electrical Engineer (Power)

Position Overview

Herzig Engineering is one of the leading companies in our field with over 20 years of experience in the Electrical Engineering industry, specializing in safety and risk mitigation. We are searching for a highly self-motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer at Herzig Engineering, you will utilize your outstanding people and organizational skills in a small business environment with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in aspects of engineering projects at Herzig Engineering
• Input and analyze data into software to run power systems studies
• Maintain high standards for the technical details of projects
• Complete engineering reports for power systems studies
• Perform various field tasks for engineering projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrate proficiency with the latest software and cloud based solutions
• Must have a minimum of a 4-year electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited university
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills
• Demonstrate the ability to enhance your skillset within a defined period of time

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to act independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Proficient in operating a standard personal computer along with experience in common office software
• Experience with or willingness to learn SKM or EasyPower software
• Capability to work under varying conditions including diverse weather and terrain
• A customer-focused mindset with a desire to foster long-term relationships with clients and coworkers
• Ability to rapidly learn and communicate highly technical information in a dynamic environment
