Job Description

Position Overview

Actively seeking an entry level engineer technician to support engineers on technical projects and products. In this role you will collect, maintain, organize, and manipulate technical data, as well as create, build, assemble, modify, and repair prototypes. You will also prepare engineering documentation including reports, drawings, sketches, flow charts, diagrams, and schematics, perform mathematical calculations per engineering specifications, analyze data within provided guidelines, set up and conduct tests, record data for engineering analysis, and recommend alternative solutions to problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and 3rd party owners for joint-owned poles.
  • Review work provided by the client and assess the requirements of scopes.
  • Provide engineering support during construction and conduct post-construction reviews to ensure compliance with engineering and construction standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.
  • Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections, return to the office to perform engineering design work, and collect field data for electrical design work packages.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting or Design, or GIS/Environmental related degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
