LPN Heart and Vascular Clinic Full Time - 32 Hours

Position Overview

Assuming the role of a Medical Assistant at Monument Health means being part of a team that emphasizes compassionate, patient-focused care and collaboration. Based in Rapid City, SD USA within the MHHVI Cardiology department, and working 32 hours weekly, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in ambulatory care. The position offers a Starting Pay Rate Range of $24.75 - $28.45 (determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant) and an outstanding Sign On Bonus of UP TO $10,000 for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares examination and treatment zones in accordance with clinic regulations.
• Performs patient rooming tasks including recording vital signs and gathering patient data.
• Accurately handles and documents single-unit medications/immunizations after completing necessary training and competency assessments.
• Executes EKG procedures and laboratory tests in compliance with the clinic’s CLIA license following successful training.
• Ensures patient record documentation is accurate, clear, and succinct; may function as a provider scribe post-training.
• Performs clerical assignments and manages the maintenance and procurement of supplies as directed.
• Assists in scheduling follow-up care appointments based on provided instructions.
• Provides pre-approved patient education resources and directs patient inquiries to the appropriate provider or RN.
• Adheres to the protocols outlined in the Monument Health Scope of Responsibilities and performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of healthcare experience.
