Job Description

Position Overview

Entry-Level Electrical Engineer (EIT Preferred) in Nashville, TN. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our expanding team in a full-time, in-office role designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals. You will gain hands-on experience with power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm systems, and construction documentation while receiving mentorship from licensed Professional Engineers. This role offers a direct path toward EIT certification and eventual PE licensure. Compensation: Salary of $65-80K with a total package value of $80K - 95K.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and layout of electrical systems, including lighting, AC/DC power distribution, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
  • Prepare construction drawings, load calculations, short-circuit studies, and code compliance reviews
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors on commercial and institutional building projects
  • Attend job site visits, design meetings, and submittal reviews to gain field experience
  • Work under the guidance of senior electrical engineers while pursuing licensure

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
  • 0–3 years of related experience (including internships or entry-level electrical design experience)
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and IBC codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design drafting and modeling
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) certification or the ability to obtain it soon
  • Strong interest in commercial, healthcare, mixed-use, and institutional projects
