Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with excellent customer service skills to join our team of computer technicians. In this mid-level Computer Technician role, you will blend responsibilities of a computer hardware technician and a desktop support technician. You will install, assemble, build, troubleshoot, service, and repair desktops, laptops (Windows PCs, Apple MacOS, Chromebooks) and network equipment at client locations or homes. Additionally, you will instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks, configure and troubleshoot peripherals (headphones, keyboards, mice, speakers, monitors) as well as mobile devices.

Karls Technology is a mobile computer repair service founded in 1999 and headquartered in Arizona, serving areas including Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, San Diego, and many other metro regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, build, troubleshoot, service, and repair desktops, laptops, and network equipment.
  • Instruct users on the proper use of personal computers and networks.
  • Install, set up, and troubleshoot computer peripherals and assist in connecting new devices such as video doorbells, gaming consoles, smart TVs, and home security systems.
  • Configure and troubleshoot mobile operating systems and applications on devices like iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and tablets.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and work environment by taking detailed technical notes, being punctual, and responsive to team communications.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays, and be willing to travel up to 100 miles per day.

Required Qualifications

  • Possess a current CompTIA A+ Certification (or the ability to attain it within 90 days) or demonstrate equivalent experience and knowledge.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, maintain valid insurance with a good driving record, and have a reliable personal car.
  • Ability to lift products up to 50lbs.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to multitask while upholding quality and integrity.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and a clean, organized work environment.
