Position Overview
At Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. We are seeking a DSP Engineer to create cutting edge solutions to challenging national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. You will work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers. This role is based at our Tucson, AZ Headquarters; remote work/telework is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement digital signal processing systems for communication signals, radar signals, and other applications.
- Develop, deploy, maintain, and test software-based solutions, including algorithm design, data analysis, hardware control, computational optimization, RF system modeling, field testing, error budget and operational performance analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest DSP technologies, tools, and methodologies while experimenting with innovative solutions to improve projects.
- Work independently with minimal direction and proactively propose improvements to applications and frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong background in DSP theory and practical system development experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Python within LINUX environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in a signal processing engineering-related discipline.
- Experience with cellular and satellite communications, modern modulation schemes, and cyclostationary techniques.
- Knowledge of geolocation, radar signal processing, RF propagation and link budgets, and RF system design.
- Experience in DevOps and Cloud computing (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP).
- Current TS/SCI clearance.
