Job Description
Position Overview
The Technical Support Technician is a hands‐on role responsible for supporting and maintaining Rex Moore’s IT infrastructure in Sacramento, CA. Focused on Windows‐based environments, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals, you will provide L1/L2 support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and help ensure smooth daily IT operations. You will report directly to the Information Technology Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 support for Windows 10 & Windows 11 workstations – including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and support Active Directory (user accounts, group policies, and access permissions).
- Assist with Windows Server 2019+ environments, including authentication and security policies.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, file shares, and remote access).
- Support Microsoft Office 365 applications ensuring proper integration with the Windows environment.
- Perform device imaging, software installations, and system updates in coordination with IT leadership.
- Utilize ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, ManageEngine) for ticket tracking and support request management.
- Assist with patch management and address Windows domain-related issues, such as login failures.
- Document network configurations, user access procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Contribute to creating technical documentation, SOPs, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Windows 10 & Windows 11 workstation environments.
- Hands-on experience in Active Directory (AD) management.
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2019+ administration, security policies, and user access controls.
- Basic networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and authentication protocols.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or ManageEngine.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for basic administrative tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while following IT best practices.
- Minimum of 2+ years of IT support experience in a Windows networking environment.
- Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to meet physical demands: prolonged sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs, and maintaining visual acuity for computer work.

Compensation
Hourly Range: $21.30 - $30.29, commensurate with knowledge, experience, and skills.
