Position Overview

Outside Sales Representative - Mighty Auto Parts of Oklahoma

This role is pivotal in driving sales and building strong customer relationships. The representative will perform sales presentations, open new accounts, process replenishment orders, manage accounts receivable, and ensure timely delivery of parts, all while upholding high standards of service and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Make sales presentations, including new cold calls and customer upgrades.
• Open new accounts with new customers.
• Write weekly replenishment orders.
• Manage Accounts Receivable relationships with customers and collect payments.
• Pull parts at the warehouse, pack the delivery truck, and deliver parts to customers.
• Use a personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license without restrictions that affect your ability to operate company-owned vehicle(s) and maintain a clean driving record.
• 3-5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the automotive market.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prospect and develop new business.
• Background in sales or customer service.
• Ability to identify and achieve targeted goals.
• Patient demeanor and strong problem-solving mindset.
• Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of mobile devices, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint programs.
• Ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Good personal hygiene with a clean and neat appearance.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
• Occasionally work in tight quarters.
• Must be able to drive and maintain a company vehicle.

Working Conditions

• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles as well as extreme cold and heat.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Travel Requirements

• May be required to travel within or outside the area while performing job duties.
• Travel up to 80% of the time.
