Entry Level Automotive Technician - Detroit, MI

Position Overview

Goodyear, with more than 580 tire and auto service centers nationwide, is seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician. In this role, you will gain hands‐on experience performing basic automotive services, including mounting and balancing tires, oil changes, and other preventative maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Learn to complete basic automotive services such as mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, and filter replacements.
• Train alongside mid and senior level technicians to acquire additional automotive skills.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service through clear communication and feedback regarding vehicle care.
• Promote teamwork in delivering on guest expectations.
• Adhere to company policies on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks, including light to heavy lifting and extended periods of standing, bending, and squatting.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, must be at least 18 years of age, and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Strong work ethic; independently motivated to produce results with limited supervision.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
• Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous automotive preventative maintenance experience.
• Previous formal automotive training or related entry level/general labor experience.
