Job Description

Position Overview

This position will support the modernization and redesign of the utilization management department. It utilizes data analytics to extract value from information and develop data visualizations for analysis, problem solving, and business solutions for the UM team and related clinical partners. The role leads the creation of operational dashboards in PowerBI to support data‑driven decision making for the business leadership team. The position is remote within the greater Baltimore metropolitan area with periodic on‑site meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides healthcare analytics support by generating insights through dashboards, metrics, or reports for UM‑related solutions.
  • Acts as a thought partner with business leads to perform both proactive and reactive analysis while deriving insights from key performance metrics.
  • Develops meaningful reports and analysis for the UM leadership team, team members, and stakeholders, and presents findings.
  • Monitors key performance indicators and balanced scorecards to aid in improved decision‑making.
  • Supports the development of analytical models and tools that drive healthcare strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination with 4 additional years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with business intelligence tools, data analytics, and database management systems.
  • Proficient in business intelligence software (such as PowerBI, Qlik, or Tableau) with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating dashboards for internal productivity and external KPI reporting.
  • Knowledge of utilization management from a payer perspective.
  • Understanding of utilization management processes and industry standards, with experience in developing operational dashboards in PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Guiding Care and Facets and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
