Software Developer I

Position Overview

Under direct supervision and following prescribed procedures, perform software development tasks and application support for various internal business and web applications.
Location: Livonia, MI
Salary: $84,400/year, commensurate based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Website and Application Development, including developing new applications, creating technical specifications for fellow developers, debugging applications to investigate complex issues and provide resolutions, and managing the company website.
• IT Support, including providing application support to the operations team, offering basic computer/hardware support, and delivering technical support.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or four to six years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate experience with C#, SQL Server programming, ASP.NET, Web Forms, and JavaScript.
• Advanced knowledge of personal computer usage, including MS-Excel or related analytical software, with the ability to perform complex tasks across a variety of software and within an office environment.
• Ability to document and design software enhancements.
• Working knowledge of all internally developed Windows and web applications.
• Basic skills in database design and tuning.
• Collaborative, positive, energetic team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, good judgment, and business acumen.
• Motivated, self-directed work ethic, with a willingness to aggressively pursue individual and team goals.
