Insurance Follow up Representative - No fault workers compensation

Position Overview

RTR Financial Services, established in 1999, is dedicated to optimizing healthcare resources for communities and supporting hospitals with collections. In the Insurance Follow-Up department, you will retrieve claim statuses via online portals and direct calls, analyze denied claims, and determine corrective actions. This full-time remote role offers Compensation of $16-18 per hour and is available for candidates residing in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Retrieve the status of hospital/physician bills via online portals and direct calls to insurance companies.
• Analyze denied claims and determine the best corrective actions.
• Record detailed notes and maintain accurate account documentation.
• Communicate trends and findings to upper management.
• Achieve performance metrics: complete 20 accounts/day with 75% accuracy after training, increasing to 40 accounts/day with 85% accuracy after 10 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Typing speed of approximately 40 words per minute.
• Moderate computer knowledge with the ability to learn new systems and programs.
• Ability to write clear and concise notes and interpret previous account data.
• Excellent time management skills and a team-player mentality.
• Detailed understanding of medical billing terminology and processes.
• Familiarity with payer portals and handling denials.
• Fluent telephone communication with carrier representatives.
• At least 1 year of experience with insurance denials.
• Must have your own computer/laptop with a headset and reliable internet (minimum 50 MBps) along with at least 8GB of RAM.
