Job Description

Position Overview

Yelp was created to connect people with great local businesses. As an Account Executive, you’ll work directly with small business owners by educating them about the value of Yelp’s advertising platform and by tailoring advertising solutions to meet their needs. Please note that while this role operates remotely, the candidate must reside in the Central or Eastern Region of the United States (including candidates in the respective time zones). You will engage in high-volume outbound dialing, guiding clients from the initial call through qualification and closing – all while working in a supportive virtual team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate and strategize with business owners about Yelp’s advertising programs through a high volume of outbound dialing.
  • Adhere to one of the following work schedules as determined by your manager: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; or 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Schedule: As specified by manager.
  • Own and manage a pipeline of clients—ranging from dentists to restaurant owners—using Salesforce CRM.
  • Utilize quick close techniques to exceed individual sales goals while ensuring lasting customer satisfaction.
  • Track daily goals and consistently achieve or exceed monthly quotas.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: GED/HS Diploma with 2+ years of customer-facing experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience Required: Proven ability to handle high volume outbound dialing and work independently in a virtual environment.
  • Requirements: Current US work authorization; basic computer and email proficiency with familiarity in Google Suite and Salesforce; a work environment free of distractions.

  • Salary: Starting base salary of $37k annually plus the opportunity to earn uncapped commission. Average year 1 on-target annual compensation is approximately $50k.
