Job Description
Position Overview
General Purpose: To represent the commercial marketing interests of the business of GLOCK, Inc. in assigned territory and to promote company products to further sales in the region. Location: Region 2, OK, TX.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may require work outside these hours).
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and develop relationships with active retail firearms businesses to promote company products, distribute product information, and assist with sales.
- Establish and develop relationships with law enforcement agencies, working with personnel tasked with firearm procurement, and report customer concerns on potential product issues.
- Conduct demos and product information presentations in connection with soliciting sales.
- Quickly report customer complaints and adverse conditions in the assigned territory that could negatively affect sales.
- Communicate and coordinate with In-house Commercial, Stocking Dealer, and Range Program Departments.
- Represent GLOCK, Inc. professionally at trade shows, league matches, GLOCK days, and other business functions, providing technical information and demonstrations.
- Demonstrate GLOCK, Inc. products to Stocking Dealer’s Sales Staff.
- Update the calendar with work schedules and share with the Regional Manager and National Sales Manager.
- Submit weekly expense reports to the Accounting Department and monthly activity/summary reports to the Regional Manager.
- Analyze and control expenditures to conform with budgetary requirements.
- Travel extensively by car, spending a minimum of 3 nights per week away from home (including some weekends).
- Organize time effectively and multitask on numerous projects simultaneously.
- Work within an approved budget; develop and implement cost-saving measures while contributing to profits and revenue.
- Analyze the market and competition to identify sales opportunities.
- Provide superior customer service and be completely familiar with the GLOCK pistol to offer technical information and demonstrations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience Required: 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training.
- Manual dexterity to handle small tools and parts.
- Complete understanding of the physical workings of a firearm.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, etc.
- Strong general office and telephone skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requirements: Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain a passport.
