Position Overview

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to provide and coordinate engineering support on small to medium-sized projects and/or individual components of larger, more complex projects.
Location: Daily onsite attendance is required for the first 90 days, followed by a hybrid work environment with required office presence in NE Houston as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface directly with customers and other project managers (both internal & external as the technical point of contact) and provide engineering status and progress reports.
- Perform conceptual design work, engineering calculations, and interpret analysis results.
- Prepare and check manufacturing (assembly, weldment, and machined components) drawings.
- Write and/or review technical proposals, equipment evaluations, and procurement specifications.
- Prepare technical procedures (factory acceptance test, load test, etc.) and technical specifications (scope of supply, master document list, design specification, etc.).
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards (ISO, API, and DNV), contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Perform design reviews and presentations with internal and external customers.
- Delegate assignments to supporting team members (Designers, Analysts, Technicians, etc.).
- Conduct on-site product testing and, when needed, offshore field operations of hardware.
- Work cooperatively with a team to complete assignments and achieve goals in group settings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or a related engineering discipline).
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience – Offshore Energy or Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and Enovia or a similar Product Life Management (PLM) system (formal classes or 1 year of experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Engineering Fundamentals, including structures, pressure vessel design, and stress calculations.
- Ability to work in a team environment by actively participating, recognizing responsibilities, and sharing ideas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Primavera, Mathcad, fluency in Excel, or PE/FE certification.
- Experience with installing, operating, or designing Junction Plates or Subsea Distribution Systems.
