Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview

RWB is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team! This full-time position is based in our Dallas, TX office. At RWB Consulting Engineers, we thrive on designing solutions for challenging problems while offering valuable project experience under experienced leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of HVAC systems.
• Preparation of HVAC production drawings using AutoCAD or Revit, including drafting/modeling and submittal review.
• Conduct site visits during pre-design, design, and construction phases.
• Develop mechanical HVAC designs for diverse projects such as education, municipal, worship, office, medical, data centers, office/warehouse, long-term care, food service, retail, and other commercial buildings.
• Collaborate with a design team of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineers and interact with clients and consultants.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Possess or be pursuing EIT certification; a Texas P.E. license is a plus.
• 0-5 years of experience designing or analyzing mechanical systems for commercial buildings.
• Competency with AutoCAD and Revit; experience with energy modeling is beneficial.
• Familiarity with plumbing design, electrical systems, and industry standard software (Microsoft products, COMcheck, HVAC load calculation programs such as Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, and/or eQuest).
• Involvement with ASHRAE or the Association of Energy Engineers is a plus.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and self-management skills.
