Java Developer, Junior (Remote Opportunity)

Position Overview

VetsEZ (Veterans EZ Info, Inc.), a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is a leading provider of IT services to commercial and government markets with deep expertise in Healthcare IT and Benefits Delivery. We are currently seeking aJava Developer, Juniorto join our100% remoteteam supporting a large federal government project. The junior developer will create error‑free software code under the direction of senior managers and document software processes. Candidates must reside within the continental US.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and develop overall concept and design objectives
• Create software for diverse IT applications in both Windows and web development environments
• Design, develop, participate in coding activities, and ensure adherence to current architectures and environments
• Collaborate with development, production support teams, project managers, and technical leads to provide updates and maintain application performance
• Document processes to support ongoing development efforts and participate in architecture enhancements

Required Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of professional experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies
• At least 2+ years of professional experience in software development and implementation
• At least 2+ years of experience debugging and correcting errors in computer programs
• At least 1+ year of experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture, object‑oriented software design, REST, SOAP Web Services, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, Spring, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL), WebLogic, JPA/Hibernate, and Java EE
• Strong software development skills in design, development, testing, deployment, and support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with rule and BPM engines
• Experience with REST API (RESTful API)
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Confluence
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with REACT and Python
• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance
