Job Description

Position Overview

Join MV Transportation as an experienced Mechanic where you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service, and repair on steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical systems, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. This role requires working safely, conducting part analysis, and assisting with inventory control when needed. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, examine, and investigate vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles.
  • Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
  • Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of verifiable apprentice-level training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses or a regional occupational program.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.
