Job Description

Position Overview

This is an entry-level technical position working under the supervision of the IT Director to support Information Technology operations. The IT Support Technician serves as first line technical support for users and coordinates the resolution of more complex issues with IT staff. Seasoned in both hardware and software troubleshooting, the technician plays a key role in maintaining a smooth operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and repair computers, printers, and network equipment.
  • Answer IT work order requests and facilitate efficient resolution of technical issues.
  • Configure, image, and replace end user technical equipment including computers, phones, data cards, and mobile devices.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to analyze and correct a variety of technology problems.
  • Assist with monitoring network and server operations and resolve issues related to malware, spyware, and viruses.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in computer support, network operations, and maintenance.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting personal computers, printers, servers, and peripheral devices.
  • Strong dedication to customer service and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware with the ability to install, configure, and remove components.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook in an Exchange environment.
  • Understanding of computer security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems and Office 365 infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure in an Active Directory environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with peers, vendors, and various stakeholders while handling confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
