Job Description

Position Overview

The Remote Systems Clinical Pharmacist will provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers by developing and maintaining relationships with Account/Clinical Management and PCO-IPU Operations teams. This remote role, based in the USA (preferred East Coast), requires a 20% travel commitment to meet client and Enclara business needs. Schedule: M-F 8:30am - 5pm EST.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with IPU clients to develop process/procedure standards based on federal and state regulations.
  • Proactively assess and address the impact of changing regulations and market demands on IPU services.
  • Engage with operations to promote system, labor, and customer experience enhancements.
  • Evaluate workflow improvements through periodic utilization reviews of hospice IPU medications.
  • Coordinate educational sessions and training for nurses, prescribers, and internal teams regarding IPU operations and compliance.
  • Perform onsite compliance visits as needed and support the Remote Systems team with timely responses to inquiries and issues.
  • Support additional supervisory tasks including QA reviews, investigative audits, and the development of standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work to meet client and business needs in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and superior customer service both internally and externally.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and adapt to change.
  • Minimum of 3 years as a licensed pharmacist with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in hospice and/or palliative care with account management experience.
  • Prior experience with IPU operations and knowledge of Pyxis and/or Omnicell systems.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing, with potential to hold multiple state licenses as required.
