Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce fulfillment company, is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Logistics and Supply Chain Director. This is a fully remote position that requires a visionary leader to optimize and manage all aspects of the company's logistics network and supply chain operations across the nation. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, enhance delivery performance, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This role demands a deep understanding of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and advanced supply chain technologies, coupled with exceptional remote leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and service level improvements.
• Oversee all domestic and international transportation operations, including freight management, carrier negotiations, and route optimization.
• Manage and optimize warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and labor management, ensuring seamless integration with transportation.
• Implement and leverage advanced supply chain planning and execution systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP integrations) to enhance visibility, control, and performance.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing ROI.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of logistics and supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Customer Service, to ensure alignment and integrated execution of supply chain strategies.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting logistics and supply chain management.
• Drive innovation in supply chain processes, seeking opportunities for automation and optimization.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among geographically dispersed teams through digital tools and virtual platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a director-level or senior management role.
• Track Record: Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing large-scale logistics and supply chain strategies that drive measurable results.
• Expertise: Extensive experience with transportation management, warehouse operations, inventory planning, and network design.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with WMS, TMS, ERP systems, and other supply chain technology platforms.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage remote teams effectively, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Communication: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience: Experience in e-commerce fulfillment is highly desirable.
• Setup: Must possess a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup conducive to remote work.
