Position Overview

SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS SPECIALIST II

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop working relationships with internal and external customers; assist with account management by maintaining customer profiles, details, and service needs, while addressing inquiries regarding shipments, billing, status, services, and carriers.
  • Interface with airlines, shipping, truck, and related carriers to understand requirements and track shipments or details for operations ranging from standard to complex.
  • Manage various documents for accuracy by updating operational/customer data in software systems and identifying potential concerns, then communicating with appropriate groups to resolve issues.
  • Utilize databases, logs, and other sources to locate and verify information that is operational in nature.
  • Track orders and shipments, assist with tracing as needed, create and process invoices, review for operational accuracy, and collaborate with customers on questions and payments.
  • Assist with running and summarizing operational reports, prepare information for quotes, and support compliance with company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School graduate or GED.
  • Experience Required: Five years of office experience in a logistics/transportation environment.
  • Qualifications: Basic to Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based, and job specific software applications, with the ability to utilize databases and systems to review and verify documentation.
  • Requirements: Ability to prepare basic reports, queries, and operational information; track and trace shipments; maintain customer profiles; and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
