Position Overview

The Regional Vice President of Operations (RVP) will oversee the daily operations, strategic execution, and performance of the company's assisted living and memory care facilities across a designated region. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the RVP will serve as a senior member of the executive leadership team, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company's mission and growth objectives. This position focuses on both operational strategy and execution across assisted living and memory care settings. The ideal candidate will also bring an understanding of developing ancillary services for the post-acute care market, helping to expand the company's service offerings in this growing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic operational plans to support the company's regional expansion and growth objectives, including the support of growth in ancillary services in the post-acute care market.
  • Lead the daily operations of multiple assisted living and memory care facilities, ensuring consistency in service delivery and high care standards.
  • Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and financial performance for facilities in the region, driving financial performance while balancing care quality.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement in both operational and care outcomes.
  • Ensure all facilities meet or exceed state and federal regulatory standards and company quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership and facility teams to align operational practices with the company's overall mission, vision, and growth strategies.
  • Play a pivotal role in the development and expansion of ancillary services such as rehabilitation therapy, post-acute care support, and specialized memory care programming, ensuring these services meet the evolving needs of the senior population.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record in a senior operational leadership role such as Director, VP of Operations, or equivalent in the senior living or healthcare industry.
  • Extensive experience managing multi-site operations, particularly in assisted living and memory care facilities.
  • A deep understanding of the post-acute care market and experience in developing and expanding ancillary services for senior care, including rehabilitation therapy, specialized memory care, and post-acute care services.
  • Strong background in regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and financial management.
  • Expertise in managing large, distributed teams and driving performance across diverse locations.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on long-term goals and continuous operational improvements.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a proven capacity for building, leading, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, residents, families, and external partners.
  • High adaptability and resilience in managing fast-paced, evolving operational demands.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and ability to foster trust and collaboration among teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in healthcare operations, including a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape for assisted living and memory care facilities.
  • Proficiency in using operational management tools and systems to drive performance improvements and efficiencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing P&L statements.
